Australia concerned about sophistication of illegal fishing

The Australian Government says it will be closely monitoring illegal fishing patterns off Northern Australia to see if a sophisticated boat captured last weekend is part of a bigger trend.
The Indonesian boat with 22 crew members and a Global Positioning System on board was found off the Northern Territory's north east coast, allegedly with a large catch of reef fish.
Australia's Fisheries Minister, Senator Ian McDonald, says it was a valuable vessel:
"The incidence of this better equipped boat is something that we will keep a very close eye on to ensure that it is not the start of a new wave of illegal operations from Indonesia," he says.
