UK protest against continued dolphin slaughter

Marine Connection

3rd November 2003

The Marine Connection are helping to co-ordinate a demo on Tuesday, 4th November, outside the Japanese Embassy, 101 Piccadilly, London, W1 (nearest tube: Green Park) - to protest against the ongoing slaughter of hundreds of dolphins and whales each year in the Japanese Drive Fishery.

Over the last few weeks, the presence of conservationists including Sea Shepherd, Ric O'Barry and others has meant that the recent killings have been greatly reduced and many cetaceans saved. Protests are planned at Japanese Embassies worldwide to demand the Japanese Government halt this once and for all.

If you want to add your voice to the global condemnation of this drive fishery by attending this demo, please contact the charity for further details, which will be confirmed on Monday.

If you are unable to attend at such short notice, please pass this message onto others who you think will wish to attend to give their support, or post onto your website / e-mail list.

Call The Marine Connection on 020 7499 9196 or email: taiji@marineconnection.org

To find out more about this campaign, please visit the Marine Connection website: www.marineconnection.org under Latest News.

Please come along and add to the numbers speaking out globally on Tuesday on behalf of the dolphins and whales dying in agony at the hands of these fishermen.
